Meet the Team!

JOANNA is our head honcho. She likes a variety of board and card games, and enjoys the tower defence and puzzle game genres. Recently, she has been enjoying Codenames and building structures in Minecraft.
Joanna keeps the place manned and running smoothly, managing a significant amount of the financial end of our activities and the business as a whole. While she is very responsible with her work, she makes space in her day to lay back, roll some dice, and have a good laugh.
TAYLOR is our resident goofball. He likes nearly every game he plays, but what he loves most are card games, as he has played and mastered a handful of unique ones from his parents' time. Some of his favourites include Canasta and Magic, see if your parents know them!
You'll often see Taylor showing another new game to someone, making sure that many others can join in on the fun too. With his extensive repertior, his courage to learn new games, and wisdom to help others learn the ropes, Taylor is a gift that keeps on giving.

VINCENT is the team engineer. He revels in games that promote teamwork, strategy, and that have unique characters, such as Baldur's Gate 3 and Overwatch.
His extensive history in creating both video and board games has provided him with ample knowledge to keep researching for our next big hit. Vincent uses many tools and skills of his own to create board games for everyone to use at Devonport Online, how generous! No matter how you look at it, Vincent plays a critical role in the Gaming Together team.
XAVIER is our Nintendo nerd. He is a fan of quiet and creative computer games, and a few Nintendo classics, but he will be caught playing physical games on occasion. Some of his top video-game picks include Terraria and Smash Bros.
Much of our admin work is kept up-to-date thanks to Xavier's efforts, which includes this website and a few others like it. But, when he's behind a controller or keyboard, whoever ends up beneath his crosshair is gonna have a bad time.

FAQ
Why are there age restrictions? | To keep Gaming Together as a safe and comfortable activity, these sessions are aimed at high school and college students. |
I am not the right age, can I still come with my sibling or parent? | Unfortunately, we are not accepting registrations from people under the age of 12, so they cannot participate in this event. For those who are over 18, we recommend our fortnightly Games Nights instead. |
Why do I need to register? | It is required that all participants register to provide information and contacts in case of emergency situations, and also to receive consent from a parent/guardian. Please complete our Jotform if you have not yet registered. |
Can I come in just to watch? | Certainly, though even if you only plan to spectate, you must register and book as any other participant would. Please complete our Jotform if you have not yet registered. |
Is there anything I should bring? | You are not required to bring anything with you, as we supply all necessary equipment. However, if you want to bring your own board or card games along, you are welcome to. |
How do I get into the building? | We provide entry through the Market Square entrance, on the north side of the paranaple centre, for 15 minutes before each session begins. If you arrive outside of these times, call or text us at 0444 525 434, and a Gaming Together Supervisor will let you in. |
Am I able to eat and drink there? | Yes, though we request that you take care to avoid mess or spills and that you wash your hands after eating before handling any electronic equipment, game pieces, etc. |
